Cinque Terre I  Jetsetting

The Cinque Terre, 'The Five Lands', are five picturesque villages tucked along the Italian coastline. You can visit each city by train or a walking path. I passionately recommend taking the path between the cities. The trail from Vernazza to Monterosso is pretty exhausting, especially in the obscene August heat, but the views we got to see when we'd stop to take a breather will be forever apart of some of my favorite memories.

Corniglia, the middle village, rests on top of a hill away from the water. It was the least touristy of the five towns we visited, which is why I loved it so much. I would have wanted this to be our home base if we had stayed the night in the Cinque Terre, solely because of ravioli, fresh mint leafs and 'miele di Corniglia', gelato made from local honey.

I think a food intervention may be necessary when everything we love about traveling through southern Europe is directly associated with food and beverage?
