Where Have We Been?!

Hi dear friends! We've been so neglectful to our blog, but it's not without warrant. Since October we've been preparing a new wedding line (3rd photo on the top row is a little sneak peak at some of the new invites!) and a card collection to launch at the National Stationery Show in NYC later this month! We're so excited and so humbled to have this opportunity. We'll be featuring 16 new customizable wedding suites and 54 greeting, thank you, Christmas, Mother's & Father's Day, Valentines Day, Easter and Birthday cards at booth 2054. We're especially excited about our new line, Ridge, that is a men's collection of greeting and notecards!

When we haven't been working an unhealthy number of hours towards to show, we've also been traveling from one coast to another for business, welcoming in a beautiful new neice to our family, planning and styling a few weddings for clients and friends, cheering on our OKC Thunder and squeezing in a little time to enjoy each other.

We are so incredibly blessed to have the support system we do during this incredibly hectic season! Both sides of our family have bent over backwards, and been so sacrificial in helping us! It's the most humbling thing to want something so badly, and to have a network of people supporting that dream. We feel so so so blessed! We are also so encouraged by those of you who have dropped a kind note or word of encouragement! Geeze, we couldn't be more thankful!

Truthfully, the rest of the month looks to be pretty chaotic, but we're always updating our twitter and instagram (jisforwednesday)! We warmly invite you to keep up with us there! Thank you again!!!

We've Been Featured - Mollie Makes

Greetings from Seabrook, WA!!!! Garett and I are here working on a freelance project for a luxury travel company. To say we are completely blown away by this quaint new urbanist town would be the understatement of the century! Plus we are staying at the Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House from 2010, owned by the travel company, and the views, oh my the views, are just majestic! Case in point. We have been featured in Mollie Makes, a UK crafting magazine! They have featured our DIY Succulent Book Planters that we did for my sister's wedding back in June! Family Models Needed ASAP!

Hey Yall! If you've been following us on facebook or twitter then you know we've been on the prowl for families to participate in a photoshoot this coming weekend in Seabrook, WA. Well, we are only days away from the 18th and we are upping the ante! We'd absolutely LOVE to have you and your beautiful family share a day with us in Seabrook on Saturday, Feb 18! Here's all the info you need!

Anthology is a luxury travel company with a growing portfolio of luxury homes around the US. All the Anthology homes offer top of the line amenities, but the heart of the travel company is to impact families by taking a more meaningful vacation- one with better stories and deeper connections. With this in mind, we are wanting to photograph real life families enjoying the homes and the communities they are in. We are working with Aaron Snow to photograph our homes with the intent of capturing genuine and authentic relatoinships within them.

We anticipate scenes like bike rides, hikes, shopping, beach time, clamming, food in and around the house and various scenes in the house to showcase people enjoying one another's company in an amazing setting.

Here are the types of people we are looking for:

Young families with kids ages 2-18
Senior couples (even better with their kids and grandkids)

In return for your time we will give you a disk of the photos taken! You will also get fed- either with us or via giftcard and... for the right family or group of couples we would be willing to put you up for the night in a Seabrook Cottage. Are You Wednesday's Intern?

We’re looking for two spring interns! Folks that would find a lot of interest in these positions would be aspiring graphic designers, event stylists and people who enjoy marketing. We’d love to find interns that can help with design elements and communication like blog posts and marketing collateral. Interns will also assist with styling projects, event prep and execution.

things that are a must:

a computer
available 2-3 days a week (we are flexible) and you can work mostly from home
familiar with social media
photoshop, indesign and/or illustrator on their computer

these things are preferable, but not completely necessary:

living in OKC
available to attend our tuesday night meetings
knowledge of squarespace

The internship can be used for school credit. Please write us a little email to Jessica explaining why this internship would be a perfect fit for you. We'll send you an email back explaining some of the projects in more detail!

Models Needed

Saturday and Sunday, February 4 & 5, we need families near or arround Seaside and Rosemary Beach, FL, who are willing to just be themselves for a few hours while our supremely talented photographer captures them being real with one another! In return for your time, you will recieve a free disk of photos taken by Aaron Snow

Rustic-Chic Table Numbers

This one is for all you planning a pretty rustic wedding. These cute vintage wood table numbers are super easy to make and add the perfect bit of chic rustic-ness to your tables. You could even use this idea for other design elements for your wedding too – endless possibilities!

You will need:
• Pieces of wood
• Cardstock paper
• Inkjet printer
• Scissors
• Elmer’s glue
• Modge Podge
• Foam brush

How to create the table numbers:

1. First you will need to determine the design you want to transfer on the wood. We created a 2 with a garland wrapped around, but you can do whatever you’d like!

2. With your foam brush paint a smooth layer of Elmer’s glue on a piece of card stock. Be sure to fully cover the area where your design will be. Let the glue has completely dried.

3. Print a reversed inkjet image on the glue side of the cardstock. Once you have that paint a thin, smooth layer of Modge Podge on the wood and stick the inkjet image face down on the wet Modge Podge. Make sure to press down hard and smooth over. Let the glue dry for 8 hours.

4. After the transfer has dried for 8 hours let it run under warm water from the faucet until the cardstock is completely saturated and peels off from the wood on its on its own.

Once it is off, it should reveal your rustic design on the wood!Designed by Wednesday for Green Wedding Shoes

I think it's safe to say that Martha Stewart is more or less the the pinnacle of all things crafting, hosting and pure loveliness. I would have been more than content to have had someone from Martha Stewart just sneeze in my direction, but nay, today we were featured on 'Links We Love'! We're so ecstatic!

Martha featured our DIY boho bunting, made for Green Wedding Shoes, as a way to incorporate personal style, interests and heritage into your wedding day!

Boho Bunting

Boho Bunting is a great way to incorporate your personal style, interests and heritage into your wedding day! For this bunting, we picked postcards with symbolic references to the couple’s interests, travel and background. Vintage nicknacks and family pass-downs make this bunting even more personal. And not only does it provide pretty inspiration for your wedding, but you can then hang it in your home after the wedding to remind you of your day! A perfect win-win in our book.

We used a vibrant vintage lace as our cord. We punched holes in the postcards and tied them by string to the lace. Little stitches (or hot glue) hold the fabric onto the lace. To protect the family photos, we used clothes pins to fasten them to the bunting.It’s important to keep at least one commonality throughout the bunting, so it looks well thought out and cohesive. We used extra pink and white lace to make fringe that we sporadically used throughout the bunting. We also tried to keep a pretty cohesive color scheme!We seriously love this bunting! It can easily replace the traditional family photo table or wall with something much more aesthetically interesting and detailed. Yet it still remembers and includes those we love and the things that make us us!
